Becca Clarke dedicates her practice to exploring the world of natural pigments; harvesting, extracting, and applying them to natural fibres for environmentally conscious fashion.

Since graduating from her Masters, Becca enjoys sharing her natural dye knowledge with others through workshops, looking to provide a wholesome, positive experience where participants can learn new skills, reduce the environmental impact of their wardrobe, and make pretty things.

Becca believes in using creativity as a practical way of relieving eco-anxiety, taking small steps towards living a more sustainable lifestyle. Natural dyeing can be easily integrated with other creative practices for slow making and it invokes a mindful connection with our clothes, as a textile artist Becca explores not only colour but also texture through incorporating techniques such as embroidery and paper making into her practice.
